Age 77, passed away on December 14, 2015. Born in Hannibal, MO, and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, she worked at NBC Universal in New York City, NY, before moving to Washington, DC to work as a copyright examiner at Library of Congress. Following her retirement after 32 years of federal service, she worked as an interpreter at Mount Vernon. She enjoyed long standing memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Lincoln Group, the Sherlock Holmes Society and the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing. She is survived by daughter, Elinda Deans; and granddaughter, Samantha, of Alexandria, VA. A gathering of family and friends may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation or the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
