Robert Alan “Bobby” Blackshire, 70, of Charleston, passed away on November 18, 2017 after a long illness.
Bobby was a Christian and loved to hunt and fish. He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School Class of 1964 and a Navy Veteran. Bobby was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan. He was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and lifetime member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thattis and Grace Blackshire; sisters, Beverly Blackshire and Judy Hart Bragg. He was survived by his wife, Carol Blackshire; daughter, Candy Collins and her husband, Brian, of Mt Pilot, NC; son, Bobby Blackshire of Aiken, SC; stepson, Scott Jett of Charleston; brother, Gene Blackshire and wife, Beverly, of Cross Lanes; sister, Cathy Monday and husband, Ron, of Cincinnati, OH; and grandchildren, Austin and Autumn Collins of Mt Pilot, NC.
A Prayer Service was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Dana Reed officiating.
Family and friends gathered two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
