Dennis C. "JR" Epperson, Jr. 45, of Center, Missouri, passed away at 12:27 AM Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Salt River Christian Church in Rural New London, MO. Rev. Richard Epperson and Rev. Doug Mahsman will officiate. Burial will be at Center Cemetery in Center, MO.

Friends and Family are invited to JR’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

JR was born January 12, 1972, in Hannibal, MO to Dennis C. and Janet K. Billings Epperson.

He was married to Jacinda Arrowood on September 17, 1994 at the Salt River Christian Church in Ralls County MO. She survives.

Other survivors include his Mother, 3 children, Zachary Scott Epperson, Alyssa Zoe-Ann Epperson and Zane Christopher Epperson, 2 sisters, Karla Clark (Matt), Kelly Trower, his father in law and mother in law, Mike and Rita Arrowood sister in law, Cassandra Young (Garrett Shatzer).

He is also survived by his Godson, Owen Zook, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and his dog, Boomer.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Professionally JR had worked with the Missouri Department of Transportation for the past 14 years.

Away from work JR simply loved to be outdoors. An avid hunter, especially of deer the fall was JR’s favorite time of year. He also liked to farm and was partial to his John Deere tractors. JR was an excellent cook and famous for his tenderloins. JR also simply enjoyed watching his football team, the Dallas Cowboys play. Most of all JR loved his family and friends and always looked forward to the time that they shared.

JR was Christian by faith.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Epperson, Zane Epperson, Matt Clark, Mark Zook, Pete Epperson, Melvin Coons, Daren Borders and Garrett Shatzer.

Honorary pallbearers will be MODOT Co-Workers at the Center Shed.
