Scott Prince (shown on the far left in top picture, the far right in the second, and behind the wheel in the lower one) was born "Mechell Scott Prince" on June 6, 1959 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the age of three our family moved to California. He was eleven when we moved to Culver City from Lake View Terrace in the San Fernando Valley.

There, he would spend a great part of his life, attending and graduating from Culver High in 1977.

Scott died on Saturday May 23, 1992 at the age of 32, in a mysterious, and violent motorcycle accident.

At 3:30 am, he was traveling east on the west bound lanes of interstate 40, in the worst rain storm in Albuquerque, in over 30 years up until that point. He flew between the east and west bound bridges that spanned the Rio Grand river, flying 118 feet before his front tire struck the top of a chain link fence . . . at over 80 miles an hour.

~ Eventually all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.

The river was cut by the world's great flood, and runs over rocks from the basement of time . . . .

On some of the rocks, are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks, are the words . . . .

And some of the words, are theirs.

I am haunted by waters ~
