Bessie was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Watson, serving on the Mother's Board and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham Allen and Luberta Allen.
Bessie is survived by eight sons; five daughters; forty-one grandchildren; sixty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Irvin Allen of Chicago, IL and Kirby Allen of Chicago, IL; and one sister, Jessie Mae Griffin of Dermott.
The funeral services will be held in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Watson with the Reverend David Owens officiating. The burial services will be held at Porter Cemetery in Watson.
