Edna Winkler Burns
August 10, 1925 - November 19, 2017 Edna Faye Winkler Burns, 92, the widow of Ben Burns, passed away Sunday morning, November 19, 2017.
Mrs. Burns was born on August 10, 1925 in Dreyfus, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Laura Rose Winkler. She was homemaker, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and was a retired employee-greeter of Walmart. She was an active member of The Flatwoods Christian Church, the Christian Womens Fellowship and was a former Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include: two daughters: Laura Sue Wainscott (Ken) and Rene Dunn (Paul); five grandchildren: Regina Hall (Chris), Benson Webb (Charity), Andy Dunn (Courtney), Chris Webb (David) and Amanda Flynn (Phil); six great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Zachary Hall, Landon and Paisley Flynn and Jaxson and Jaden Webb and a host of other relatives and friends.
Additionally, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Jones and Bro. Dennis Pasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Andy Dunn, Chris Webb, Chris Hall, Benson Webb, David Rhea, Phil Flynn, Benjamin Hall and Zachary Hall.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Blanche Fields, Imogene Shelton, Ken Wainscott, Chris Stanifer, Kenny Dennis and Phil Herald.
