Barbara G. Schulze age 87, died on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Dycora Transitional Health & Living in Beaver Dam. She was born on June 8, 1930 in Beaver Dam to Reinhold W. and Goldie A. (Morgan) Nickel. She was married to Albert Schulze on June 24, 1967 in Columbus. She was a waitress for several area restaurants before working for the Jack Winter Garment Company in Columbus, Weyenberg Shoe factory in Beaver Dam, Kromer Kap in Columbus and Kopplin Manufacturing in Fox Lake before retirement. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus. Survivors include her two daughters, Catherine (Stuart) Benzine of Rio and Linda (Delwood) Madsen of Columbus; one son, Jim (Mary Jane) Lau of Beaver Dam; daughter-in-law Ruth Breyer of Waupun; three grandchildren, Tammy (Craig) Wakeman, Amy (Kevin) Schraufnagel and Marianne Hyke; four step grandsons, Lee (Gloria) Smith, Patrick Smith, Jay (Susan) Smith and Christopher Smith; three step granddaughters Melissa Shreiner, Carleen (Ben) Van Buren, Sarah Rogers; four great grandchildren, Ava, Eli, Kylee and Kaden; two sisters, Marge Wollin of Lake Mills and Shirley Worden of Adams Friendship; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David; brother, Reinhold Jr.; sister, Lois Pollack; step grandson, Todd Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Jensen funeral home, Columbus. Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
