Edward O Teale Sr. 63, of Second Street Gloversville, died Wednesday at Nathan Littauer Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born in Central Bridge, Schoharie County, Mr. Teale attended Schoharie County Central School. He lived in Amsterdam for many years before moving to Gloversville in 1970
Mr. Teal was a truck driver for Northeast Motors in Central Bridge for many years. He was subsequently employed in the maintenance dept. of the Gloversville Housing Authority for more than 17 years before retiring. He was also a route driver for the Leader Herald and a member of the Federal Sunset bowling leagues. He attended the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Addie Cole Teale; four sons, Arthur R and Edward O Teale Jr. both of Howes Caves, Brian Teale of Poughkeepsie, and Michael Teal of Gloversville; four daughters, Catherine M. of Esperance, Cindy Teale of Warnerville, Terry Lynn Teale of Brookfield, Madison County and Michelle Teale of Puerto Rico; four step sons, Robert Cole Sr., Francis J and William D. Cole all of Gloversville and Gerald Cole of Biloxi, Miss; a step daughter Claire H Pike of Gloversville; a brother Raymond Teale of Amsterdam; two sisters, Dawn Wayman of Schoharie and Madge Kidd of Cobleskill.
Services at the Hollenbeck Funeral Home in Gloversville.
