He was born November 29, 1919 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Hugh & Leona Luttrell Wade. He died Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 97 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
He had retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He was a Veteran of US Army and a member of Mt. Eden Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Matrie Elaine Wade; a son, Billy Don Wade; six siblings, Amy Luttrell, Ruby Childress, Olive Massey Hester Wade, Henry Wade, and Byron Wade.
Survivors include:
Three children: Roger (Sue) Wade, Marysville, Ohio; Terry (Beckie) Wade, Jamestown, KY; and Teddy (Liz) Wade, Cynthiana, KY
Twelve grandchildren

One sister: Hazel Abbott, Somerset, KY
Funeral service for Edward K. Wade will be 11amCT, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Hammond, Bro. Paul Roy, and Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, and after 8amCT, Wednesday. Interment in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 KY-80, Nancy, KY Special music will be by the Hammond Family.
