Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Jamie (Specht) Moore, son John Austin Moore, daughter Ashley Lynn Moore, brother Michael "Mike" Moore (Beth), sisters Cathy Lowery (Steve) and Lisa Mahoney. Mother-in-law Carole Specht (James), Sisters-in-law Martha "Marcy" Massey (Max), Mary Moran (Fred), Dr. Diane Specht, and Brother-in-law Joseph "Joe" Specht (Kerrie). Mitch will also be fondly remembered by his loving nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
Mitch was a business owner who loved cooking southern comfort foods for friends and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, playing the trumpet, living at his treasured location "The Farmhouse", and watching his "Gamecocks." But most of all, he cherished his wife, children, and Brittany Spaniel "Jack."
The family will gather with friends in celebration of Mitch's life on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM and funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens West funeral home with Reverend and Lead Pastor Sean Seay of Athens Church presiding at 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, Georgia. Burial will follow service at Evergreen Memorial Park,
