Terri Kay Chandler

Terri Kay Chandler, age 47, of Montrose, and known to some as “Terr-Bear,” went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, June 30, 2012, following a heart attack. She was born to June and Bob Chandler on Dec. 5, 1964, at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, Colo.

She spent the first few years in the Denver area then the family moved to Montrose. Terri attended Menoken and Coal Creek elementary schools, then graduated from Olathe High School. She was very active in the Open Arms Empowerment Center in Montrose.

Terri is survived by her parents; brother, Randy (Pam) Chandler; nephews, Justin and Kevin; grandmother, Evelyn Ross; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home chapel. At Terri’s request, cremation will follow the visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory of Montrose.
