Joanne was born to Harold Lloyd (Huck) Thomas and Mary Jane Murtaugh Thomas in October, 1950, in Washington, D. C. She had two brothers, John Gerald and Michael Joseph. Joanne attended St. Bernadette's School in Silver Spring, Md., and Springbrook High School in White Oak, Md. Joanne married four times and had four sons. Her first husband was Michael T. White and she had Michael T., jr., and Robert Patrick while married to him. Her second husband was Joseph Carter Gooch and she had Joseph Carter, Jr., and William while married to Carter. Her third husband was John Page. Her last husband had the surname of Richardson. All her marriages ended in divorce. Joanne was a vivacious, irrepressible woman who just did not simply live life; she attacked it. Joanne was 64 when she died from breast cancer. She put up a heck of a fight against the disease.
