Memorial services celebrating the life of Mrs. Jane Tucker will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21st, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Reverends Joey Kennedy and John McGregor will officiate the services with John Reynolds sharing family remembrances. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial services for a time of fellowship and reflection at Cox Funeral Home.
Neva Jane Tucker was born March 9, 1946 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Maggie Sue Patrick Reynolds and Claude Reynolds. She passed away following an extended illness on November 17, 2017 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Jane was a member of New Life Church of God. She was a devoted nurse and retired from Hickory Manor Nursing Home in Bastrop. During her professional career she served at numerous hospitals and physicians clinics along with teaching nursing at Delta Community College. Her devotion to her profession was only surpassed by her devotion to and love for her family. Jane was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by those who were fortunate to know her. In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne Reynolds.
Jane is survived by her husband of 37 years, Larry Tucker of Bastrop, Louisiana; her two sons, John Reynolds of Monroe, Louisiana and Terry Cortney Winkler and his wife Laura Graves Winkler of Bastrop; and her grandchildren, Madison Winkler, Cortlin Winkler, Lara Jane Winkler, Tucker Winkler, and Emma Grace Winkler. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Robert Doyon, her brother, Preston Reynolds and his wife Patsy of Bastrop; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and extended family.
