Sandy was the first female mail carrier in New Castle, retired from the US Postal Service in Muncie in 1998 after 30 years of service. Sandy was a member of the NARFE, member and past president of the New Castle Engles Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Henry County Saddle Club, where she ran the concession stand for the 4-H for twelve years. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survived by her three daughters: Tamahine Ritchie (Robert) Craig of Logensport, Delana Kay Ritchie (Rocky) Gardner of Spiceland and Sandra Lee Bartel of Middletown; two step-grandsons: Christopher Gardner and Isaia Gardner; her best friend Susan Barnard Mann of Muncie.
Preceded by her parents: her husband Franklin Delano Ritchie and brother Allen Wayne Davidson.
Visitation: 11 a.m. until the noon services at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services Tuesday Nov. 21,2017 with Belinda Stamper officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.
