Dollie Mae Ireland, of Sedro Woolley, and formerly of Donnelly, Idaho, died Friday, June 19, 1992, in a Skagit Valley, Wash., convalescent center.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Holmes Cemetery, Donnelly. The Rev. Tom Penry will officiate.

Dollie was born July 4, 1895, in Harlan County, Neb., a daughter of James and Dorothea Giles. She married Guy H. Ireland on Jan. 27, 1916, at Atlanta, Neb. They farmed near Atlanta, Neb., until 1935, then moved to Star, Idaho. In 1938, they moved to Donnelly. Guy died in 1964. Dollie then moved to Sedro Woolley.

She had been active in the past with Senior Citizens Sunshine Club; the Upper Long Valley Grange; and the Donnelly Community Church.

Dollie greatly enjoyed family, neighbors, and especially children. Her kitchen was a place of wonder for all. She loved to cook and bake special goodies for all.

Survivors include five children and their spouses, Floyd and Edna Ireland of Nampa, Don and Helena Ireland of Bremerton, Wash., Byron and Cleo Ireland of Sedro Woolley, Dean and Loraine Ireland of Cle Elum, Wash., and Dorothy and Bob Hansen of Anchorage, Alaska; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and a brother, George Giles of Olympia, Wash. In addition to her husband, Guy H., she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Myrtle; and a son, Guy H. Jr.

Pallbearers will be sons, Floyd, Don, Barney and Dean, and friends, Orville Brown and Matt Koskella.

The family requests no flowers, but suggests that memorials may be made to the Donnelly Bible Church or to a favorite charity.
