(1922 - 2009)

Catherine O. Sieracki, age 87, formerly of 3913 Clover Road and a current resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 2, 2009, at the center.

She was born on March 31, 1922, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Matthew and Odelia (Trost) Hein. On July 1, 1944, she married Stanley Sieracki at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Catherine was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Casimir Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes.

Survivors include her husband: Stanley Sieracki, Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law: Diane and John Matthias, Manitowoc, Mary Kutil,Wausau; four sons and three daughter-in-law: Tony and Margie Sieracki, Manitowoc, Fred and Susan Sieracki, Newton, Stanley Sieracki Jr., Manitowoc, Steven and Susan Sieracki, Manitowoc; twenty grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one brother and four sisters-in-law: Marshall Hein, Elaine Hein, Jenny Hein, Lucy Sieracki, all of Manitowoc, and Evelyn Sieracki, Newton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law: Bill Kutil, 11 brothers: Philip, Nicholas, Clarence, William, Peter, Matthew, Joe, Leonard, Anton, Walter and Fred Hein; and three sisters: Irene Gadzinski, Margaret Popp and Mary Jane Mecca.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton, from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and support given to Catherine and her family.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
