Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2019, at Big Creek Cemetery in Soso for Mrs. Martha Catherine “Cat” Butler, age 95, of Ellisville who passed from this life on August 27, 2019 at Magnolia Gardens in Ellisville.
Bro. Joseph Harris will officiate with burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Patrick Bynum, Sandy Hampton, Darrin Puzz, Will Hampton, Robert Williams and Roy Jefcoat.
Martha Catherine Butler was born on January 3, 1924 to S.B. and Bertha Jefcoats Jefcoat in Jones County, MS. She worked as an inspector with the USDA for 15 years. She was a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church and a member of the Joy Seekers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Butler; parents, S.B. and Bertha Jefcoats Jefcoat; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy (Sherwood) Bynum and Jeannie (David) Howard both of Ellisville; grandchildren, Lori (Darren) Puzz of Vancleave, Vicki (Sandy) Hampton of Petal and Dr. Patrick (Melissa) Bynum of Clinton, MS; 10 great- grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Lanell Moore of Ellisville.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2019, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle
