Newton Man Found Dead
Stanley Stefaniak, 52, of R. 1, Newton, was found dead in his home Thursday afternoon by a sister who became worried because she had not seen him about the premises for several days.

Manitowoc County coroner, Dr. Theodore Teitgen, who was called when the man was discovered dead, said that death was due to natural causes and diagnosed a heart attack which he said must have taken place about four days previously. Stefaniak, a bachelor who lived alone in a residence across the street from his sister's house had last been seen Sunday at which time he appeared to be in good health.

Funeral services will be at 9 am Saturday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Casimir Cemetery.

He was born September 3, 1902 in Newton, son of the late Joseph and Johanna Siewert Stefaniak and farmed in the area all his life. He never married.

Survivors include two brothers, Ladis and John Stefaniak of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Junk and Mrs. John Mrotek of Manitowoc and Mrs. Anthony Cizek of Newton and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock this Friday evening by the Rev. Adam Markunas of St. Casimir.
