. Funeral services for Mrs. John Christy, 20, of 2020 Jackson street, who died st Mercy hospital yesterday morning, will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home Friday afternoon at 1:30. Burial will be at Carman, Ill.
. Mrs. Christy's death followed an illness of one week. Her maiden name was Ethel Hand and she was born in Carman, May 26, 1911, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Claude Hand. The family came here when she was a small child. She was married in Burlington to John Christy four years ago.
. Besides her husband, she is survived by three small daughters, Mildred, Doris and Betty, her parents: three brothers, Harold, Kenneth and Clifford Hand and one sister, Mrs. Cecil Gillis, all of Burlington.
