Matthew Scott Gibson was born March 6, 1982, in St. Louis, MO the son of George, Jr., and Debbie (Bressler) Gibson.

He passed away November 15, 2017, in Springfield, MO at the age of 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Wanda Gibson and Velma Weir.

He is survived by his parents George Gibson, Jr. and wife Lisa of Waterloo, IL and Debbie Gibson of Mountain View; two sons Jaydyn Brooks and Gabriel Derryberry; daughter Mattilyn; sister Stacie Gray of Mountain View, MO; and partner in life Chastity Sikes of West Plains, MO; three nieces; two nephews; and host of other family and friends.

Matt grew up in and attended schools in the St. Louis area, and later worked several jobs.

He liked to fish and hunt and he loved to play baseball.

Matt especially loved playing baseball with his son, his nieces, and nephews and visiting with friends and family.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
