She was a 1970 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and attended Brookdale Community College in New Jersey. She was employed and the owner of Kid Kadoodle. Shelia was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, where she was a teacher for the 5th Bible Class (children), president of the Deaconess Ministry, member of the J.E. Arrington choir, mass choir, and member of the Women’s Ministry and Discipleship Ministry. She was also a member of the Choir of Joy Community Choir.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank Williams Jr.; two daughters, Lucy and Marquita Williams, both of Suffolk; one son, De’Shon Williams (Curetta), of Suffolk; five grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Gates (Lester), of Portsmouth; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Canaan Baptist Church, Nansemond Parkway officiated by the Rev. Vernon Hairston. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
