Dianne Wally Miller, age 48, of Maiden, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born April 20, 1969, in Iredell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Grady Maxwell Wally and Barbara Sue Priest King.

Dianne was a 1987 graduate of Bandys High School and received her bachelor degree and two masters degrees from Appalachian State University. She was currently working at Lake Norman High School as the media coordinator. Dianne enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Sue Kirkpatrick.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 26 years, Eric D. Miller; daughter Sophie Miranda Miller; brothers Tony Wally of Kannapolis, NC, Terry Wally of Mooresville, NC, Jimmy McCarter of Salisbury, NC, Tim Wally of Mooresville, NC, and Roger McCarter of Roxboro, NC; special niece Barbara Leigh Mitchell and special nephew Jonathan Kirkpatrick and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Newton, NC, with Rev. Ralph A. Abernethy, III officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Newton, NC. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to: Catawba County United Way, PO Box 2425, Hickory, NC, 28603.
