Albert Robert Macioroski was born June 5, 1912 in Terry (then Custer County) MT, the son of Alexander and Bertha Macioroski. At an early age he struck out on his own, working on a ranch with horses. He was proud to serve in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Mining took him west after the war where he married LaReeta Crossley in 1950 and resided in Melrose. He had worked for the BLM Forest Service with the Green Thumb program and always kept busy, chopping weeds his final days.
He enjoyed entertaining family and friends with adventures and liked writing letters to the editor to let politicians know how things were or how they should be.
Mr Macioroski, 92, passed away October 2, 2004 in Dillon.
