He was a native of Phil Campbell, AL, and a retired construction supervisor. Mr. Shedd served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Ovelia Trapp Shedd; one son, Carl Edward Shedd; and one great-great-granddaughter, Nora Shedd.
Survived by wife, Lora Ellen Shedd; daughter, Mary (Tommy) Cotton; grandchildren, Ashley and Tommy Cotton, Carl Edward Shedd, Jr. and Leah (Kevin) Laws; brother, Morris (Iona) Shedd; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Debbie Brown.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg.
