YORK Diana "Diane" S. (Fleming) Hawkins, 61, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 5:40 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Benjamin Hawkins, with whom she celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2006. Funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at WorkingerSemmel Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Troy L. Hopkins, pastor of The Heart Of God International Church. Mrs. Hawkins was born August 11, 1945, in York, the daughter of the late Raymond C. Fleming, Sr. and Romaine E. (Leiphart) Fleming. Mrs. Hawkins was a caregiver at Pleasant Acres, a dish washer at the former Sword and Shield Restaurant, and an assembler at Berg Electronics. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. Fleming and Rochelle L. Fleming, both of York; one son, Shawn R. Hawkins of York; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one stepson, Christopher M. Hawkins of Baltimore; one stepgrandson; one sister, Carolyn M. Trimmer of York; two brothers, Raymond C. Fleming, Jr. of York and Alan L. Fleming of Seven Valleys; and devoted friends, Brenda Wiles and Ingrid Mortensen.
