He was the son of John Ted and Josie Canzada Justice Jackson. He attended school in Indianola, then served in the United States Army. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic and managing Trainer Tire Company in El Cajon, Calif., as well as tire stores in the Dallas area. After retirement, he owned and operated Everready Transportation in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and spent much time attending and watching football games with his family. He also enjoyed taking pictures of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a resident of Irving, Texas. Survivors include six daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Bobby Harris, of Hartshorne, Deborah and Wes Corder, of McAlester, Linda and James Horath, Longview, Texas, Donna and Michael Miether, Branson, Mo., Pam and Jonathon Rogers, Longview, Texas, and Jennifer Jackson, Frederick, Md. Also, four sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Rosalie Jackson, of McAlester, Sunny and Veronica Helm, Berea, Ky., Robby and Beth Helm, Acton, Texas, and Jonathon Jackson, Irving, Texas. And, grandchildren, Stacey and Jeffrey Moore, Justin Hipp, Andrew, Earl, Amanda and Amy Jackson, Tyler, Taylor and Tanner Corder, Alisa Taylor and James Horath, Payton and Jayden Spier, Sara and Bobby Helm, Erik and Sam Harris, Justin and Emily Miether, Alexis and Brandon Helm, and Brayden Edward Jackson. And, great-grandchildren, Hayden Moore, Shawn Long and Autumn Jackson; a sister, Wanda Lavarnway; brothers and sisters-in-law, Conrad "Jack" and Marguante Jackson, Jurline Jackson, Jackie Jackson, Rickey and Karen Jackson, and Carol Jackson. And, the mothers of his children, Ruth Sanders, Cathy Stubblefield and Janet Jackson; his fiancee', Fay Romero, Chandler, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andrew Jackson, Tyler Corder, James Horath, Justin Hipp, Jeffrey Moore, Taylor Corder, Brandon Helm, Earl Jackson, Justin Miether and Bobby Helm. Honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Edward Jackson, Tanner Corder, Eric Harris and Sam Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ted Jackson and Josie and Leslie Copeland, and three brothers, Dueford Jackson, Q.D. Jackson and Wayne Jackson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery with military honors provided by Robert B. Thomas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
