Patsy L. Hulsey Burns, 71, of the Bugtussle Community, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at her home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall with Ed Baines officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. Born April 8, 1935, in Stonewall, she was the daughter of Walter Virgil and Ollie Sybil Dobson Knight. She attended Stonewall School and later received her GED. She attended beauty school and owned and operated Patsy's Salon in Oklahoma City for five years. She married Doyle Hulsey on April 25, 1953, in Stonewall and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1985. She then attended and graduated from the Norman School of Nursing, receiving her LPN license. She worked for numerous nursing homes as a geriatric nurse until her retirement. She then married Jim Burns on Feb. 27, 2000, in Ti Valley. She was a member of the Ti Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, canning, fishing, farming and tending to her cattle. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her family and church friends. Survivors include her husband, Jim Burns, of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Basset, of Oklahoma City; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Diane Hulsey, of Oklahoma City. Also, a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Wayneth Wells, of Stonewall; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ollie Knight.
