Virginia Romberg Austin went home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior on November 9, 2017. She was born in August of 1935 to Everett and Minute May Seaborn in Shawnee, the fifth of seven very loved children.

Virginia worked in banking early on, then worked her way through nursing school. She worked in many areas of the nursing field, but spent the majority of her career as a pediatric nurse at the Shaw-nee Medical Center Clinic. Virginia was a caretaker and enjoyed caring for people . She also enjoyed life. She was always ready for a trip or a new adventure. She enjoyed being around people and being the center of attention.

She met the first love of her life, Kelly Romberg, in high school, and they married a month be-fore they graduated. They had three children together, Keith Dewayne, Jeannie, and Lyn. They enjoyed square dancing, traveling, spending time with friends, and trips to Las Vegas to see Elvis and other music shows. They enjoyed over twenty-three years of marriage together before Kelly's death in 1979.

Virginia then met the man she called her soul mate whom she spent over thirty years with, Bill Austin. Virginia and Bill were constant companions. You never saw one without the other. They loved to travel all over the world. They had many different business ventures which included the Austin Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Four new children also were added to Virginia's family now, Judy, Serita, David, and Marcia.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Kelly Romberg; son Keith De-wayne; second husband, Bill Austin; siblings, Dorothy Earls, Ruth McDivitt, Nona Floyd, Boyde Sea-born, and Bobby Seaborn.
The family is very grateful to her entire family and caretakers who were by her side constantly making sure she had every comfort possible. Thanks especially to Jason and Kaci Grasty and to Pascale Simmons.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands Jeannie and Steve Taylor, Lyn and Bobby Cox; grandchildren and their spouses Josh and Amber Taylor, Kaci and Jason Grasty, Brandi and Jake Shirey, Bobby D. Cox, and Chris Cox. Great grandchildren Krew, Tieryn, and Kopelyn Taylor; Ayden, Laykn, and Kreelyn Grasty; and Ayzia and Kholi Shirey; and a sister and brother-in-law Laura and Bill Fail; many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
