Jackie J. Stewart, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at The Health Center on the campus of the Masonic Village.

Born on December 2, 1938, he was the beloved son of the late Andrew and Geraldine (Cook) Stewart of New Kingston, Pa.

A graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Jack began his career with AMP, Incorporated at the crystal facility in Carlisle, Pa and was a Production Supervisor at the time of his retirement in 1998 from the Landisville, Pa facility. Once retired, Jack worked briefly as a driver for Werner, having always wanted to experience driving an 18-wheeler, but made the change to school bus driver for the Elizabethtown Area School District, a job he loved. The children on his E1 bus often wrote him thank you notes and gave him little gifts that made him feel so special. Jack was proud to be a Freemason and was initiated as a brother of St. John's Lodge No. 260 in Carlisle, Pa. in 1963. In 1965, he was recognized by the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, USA as a member in Harrisburg, Pa. Jack was very active in the Zembo Temple's motorcycle unit and enjoyed spending time with his Masonic brethren and their families. In 2016, the R.W. Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania awarded Jack his 50 Year Masonic Service Emblem. In his free time Jack liked riding his motorcycles, watching the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins, and working outdoors.

Surviving are his loving partner of 40 years, Judith A. Celesky, of Elizabethtown, Pa., a daughter, Kelly L. Celesky, of Lancaster, Pa., two sons - Jeffrey J. Stewart, of Lewisberry, Pa., and John A. Stewart, of Mount Holly Springs, Pa. He will be deeply missed by his Border Collie Spunky, Jeff's Golden Retriever Harvey, Kelly's two felines, Allie and Lacey, and many friends and community members.

A memorial service to remember Jack's life will be held in the chapel of the Masonic Health Center at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, with Chaplain Timothy Nickel officiating. A full Masonic ceremony will follow. The date is Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private in the Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill, Pa.
