Buecking, Fay Lou of Flushing, age 84, died Friday, October 13, 2017, at Rockwell Assisted Living.

Fay was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 1, 1933, the daughter of Ivan and Mary (Vernon) Tobey. She married Allan Buecking in Vernon, Michigan on August 7, 1954. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2014.

Fay was a member of Flushing United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed being a volunteer during the elections. Fay also enjoyed sewing and cross stitch. Together with her husband, they enjoyed traveling, but one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren.

Fay is survived by her children, Jeffrey and wife Maureen Buecking of Fenton, Julie and husband Mark Leonhardt of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Joel and wife Cynthia Leonhardt, Jacob and wife Katie Leonhardt; great-grandchildren, Scarlet, Sawyer; sisters, Marilyn and husband Laverne Fredrick, Sharon and husband Ed Chabica, Maxine and husband Gordon Strahle; and sister-in-law, Darlene Hanchett.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Pastor Jeanne Wisenbaugh and Rev. Doug Vernon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the service.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Parkinson's Foundation or Flushing United Methodist Church.
