Mrs. Idelle M. Seawright
Mrs. Idelle M. Seawright, wife of I. C. Seawright, died at her home in Hooker, Monday, March 7, at 4 p.m. Mrs. Seawright was born Nov. 13, 1860 in McNary[sic] county, Tenn. She was married to Mr. Seawright Oct. 21 1880, near the place of her birth. To this union were born eight children six of whom survive her. Mrs. Seawright had lived in this community about six years, and was well known and greatly loved by a large circle of acquaintances.
When yet a girl she was converted and became a member of the Methodist church and remained a consistent and faithful member of it until death. She was a faithful member of the Sunday school, and found great pleasure in studying her bible and engaging in the Sunday school work. Mrs. Seawright was also a member of the Ladies' Aid society of the Methodist church and was always willing to do what she could to help in their work. Last September her health became very poor, and she remained in ill health all winter. During the last few weeks she grew worse, and her strength continued to fail until Monday afternoon, when her spirit took its flight to the "Soul's Eternal Home."
Her husband, four sons and two daughters, four sisters and two brothers survive her. These with a host of friends mourn the departure of one who was a loving and faithful wife, mother, neighbor, and friend. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. C. Taylor, pastor of the Methodist church, in the presence of a great congregation of her relatives and friends Tuesday at 3 p.m., after which her body was laid to rest in Hooker cemetery."
