Lewis A. "Doug" Hale, 68, Little York, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth. Inurnment is in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is this afternoon, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. A masonic service will be held at 7. Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.

Mr. Hale was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Seaton, the son of Edgar and Rose Olson Hale. He married Betty Lou Riedel Dec. 26, 1948, in Monmouth.

He farmed in the Little York area and worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation in the highway department. He also retired from Wilson Meat Packing in Monmouth.
He was very active in politics, once serving as the Warren County Chairman of the Democratic Party.
He was a member of the Little Cedar Presbyterian Church, Seaton Lodge 838 AF&AM, Mohammed Shrine Temple and the Western Illinois Shrine Club.

Survivors include the widow; daughters, Sandy Rogers, Why, Ariz., Wendy Hale, Columbia, Mo., and Connie Sallows, Port Byron; and four grandchildren.
