Susie suffered from anorexia and related health issues for most of her adult life. She was a very private person and not even her immediate family knew the details of her physical and mental problems. However, we do know that she dealt with her conditions as well as she could and that she persevered to the end. She was particularly close to her nieces and nephews who doted on her throughout her life and in her final weeks.
She is survived by her brothers Thomas S. Porter Jr. (Marybeth) and Mark P. Porter (Jane); as well as seven nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law, Clay Randall.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her sister Carol Porter Randall.
Services will be held at the Immaculate Heart Retreat House Chapel, 6910 S. Ben Burr Rd, Spokane, WA, at 10:00AM, November 25, 2017. She will be buried alongside her parents and sister at Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Susie's family would be grateful for donations to either The Emily Program Foundation 651-379-6123 or Hospice of Spokane 509-456-0438.
