formerly of Trumbull, CT - John J. ("Jack") Quinlan, age 92, formerly of Trumbull, CT, passed away November 12, 2017 in Martinsville, VA. Mr. Quinlan was born in Englewood, NJ to Thomas H. and Catherine T. Quinlan, and spent many years in Upper Nyack, NY, before moving to Connecticut. "Jack" was a LTJG in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of WWII, serving on the destroyer, USS Renshaw. He attended Lafayette College and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was a mechanical engineer with Croll-Reynolds Engineering Company, of Trumbull, retiring as President. Jack, a lifelong fan of the NY Rangers hockey team, served many years with the Rotary International Club of Trumbull, and was a long time parishioner of St. Ann R.C. Church in Nyack, NY as well as St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Trumbull. Throughout his life, Jack generously volunteered with many worthy organizations in his community. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Guidon) Quinlan; his daughter, Jeanne von Stein, and his brother, Thomas H. Quinlan, Jr. Survivors include his children, Patricia Elkins (Steve), Marie Curry (Steve), Laura Nieschalk (Bill), Chaplain John Quinlan, Jr. (Trudy), Michael Quinlan, Mary Jo Coscia, Ann Miani (Rob), Maureen ("Reenie") Quinlan; stepdaughters Dee Willett (Tom), Barbara Stark; stepson Paul Stark (Roseangela); 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT and to attend his funeral services, Saturday at 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull, CT. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull Rotary Scholarship Fund, P.O.
