Contractor A. C. Thomas Dead at 62

Arthur Clifton Thomas, 62-year-old Shreveport building contractor, died yesterday at 4 p.m. in a local hospital. Death followed a lengthy illness.

Mr. Thomas, who resided at 2768 Hearne Ave., had lived here for the last 32 years, moving here from Little Rock. He was a native of Glenwood, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Jordan of the Queensborough Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.

Mr. Thomas was a veteran of World War I, a Mason, and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillie Williams Thomas; three brothers, J. M. Thomas of Little Rock, J. J. Thomas of Joyce, and Leonard Thomas of Arkadelphia, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. B. D. Millsapps of Arkadelphia, Mrs. H. H. Nelson of Durant, Okla., and Miss Pearl Thomas of Hot Springs.

Arthur Clifton Thomas, 62-year-old Shreveport building contractor, died yesterday at 4 p.m. in a local hospital. Death followed a lengthy illness.
