Central Bridge, March 30—The tragic death of Lovilla Guffln at Grosvenors Corners last week cast a shadow over our entire community where he was well known to a large circle of friends and business associates. During his residency in Schenectady very few weeks have passed during which he has not visited Central Bridge and his visits were always welcome.
His father, the late Newell Guffin, and Dr. A. N. Guffin of Rome, his only brother, were and are very kindly remembered here. W. B. Colyer, A. L. Brand, A. L. Parsons and Charles Grosvenor attended the funeral services of the deceased at Schenectady last Friday. They were conducted by Rev. E. O. Moffett of Guilderland Center, who during the residence in town of the Guffin family was pastor of the Reformed church, with which the family was connected. The deceased was buried in the family lot in the Sloansville cemetery.
