James Lois Householder, 89, of Big Spring, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Parkview Rehabilitation Center.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Trinity Memorial Park with Pastor Elwin Collom of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating.

James was born July 24, 1928 in Morley, Missouri to Anna Lou Rice Householder and Robert Householder.

He came to Big Spring in 1952 when he was stationed at Webb Air Force Base. He served 4 years in the Air Force.

Following his discharge, he served 32 years in Civil Service at Webb Air Force Base and Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock. He also worked at Lockheed Martin in Lubbock after his retirement from Civil Service.

He married Jeanette Kennedy on February 3, 1953.

He was a member of Berea Baptist Church.

James is survived by his wife Jeannette Householder of Big Spring and one son Allen Householder and wife Debbie also of Big Spring; one granddaughter and five great grandchildren and two sisters: Judy Cook and Dorothy Fowler both of Missouri.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son James Dean Householder.
