Ed and Marilyn Henrich were married on September 21, 1949, at Sacred Heart Church in Early, IA. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City. Ed played town team baseball for several years. Later he became an excellent bowler- at one time he held a 229 average. He also enjoyed golf, and watching all sports, especially when his children and grandchildren were playing. Everyone knew of and enjoyed his quiet, dry sense of humor. Ed was proud to be a lifelong resident of Newell. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Westcott); sister Bernice (Bris) Skiles of Billings, MT; brother-in-law Jerry (Pat) Westcott; sisters-in-law Teresa and Frances Westcott; sons Tom Henrich of Storm Lake, IA, Mike Henrich of Newell, IA, and James (Stacy) Henrich of State Center, IA; daughters Sally Henrich of Omaha, NE, Cindy (Alan) Gibson of St. Louis Park, MN, and Sara Eben of Greeley, CO; grandchildren Chris (Meghann) Henrich, Heather (Phil) Smith, Tracey (Mike) Fogarty, Jace (Mandy) Henrich, Carlie (Chris) Weidner, Cheyenne Henrich , Steven (Sarah) Seehusen, Payton (Steven) Fox, Ben Henrich, Reilly Henrich, and Chance Eben. He also leaves behind great grandchildren Quinn and Decker Smith, Novalyn Fogarty, Hannah Henrich, Isla Weidner, and Andrew, Gabriel and Lydia Seehusen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susan Eakins, son-in-law Max Eakins, daughter-in-law Barbara (Bach) Henrich, brothers-in-law Richard and Robert Westcott.
