Steven L. Wade , February 14,1957-December 5,2013 was born to Ralph and Mary Wade of Columbus Ohio on Valentine's Day, 1957.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Erin Flynn Wade ; with whom he shared their home in Dublin, Ohio.
Steve is also survived by his son, Dustin Wade ; daughter, Nicole Wade ;
Step-sons, David Smith, Dan Smith, and Brian Smith; and daughters-in-law, Tosha Woods Smith;
with granddaughter, Zoe Smith; Audra Shoupe Smith;
special close friend of the family, Ally Norris;
his brother, Ralph and wife Gina Wade ;
and nephews, Greg Wade and Randy Wade .
Steve graduated from Mifflin High School in Columbus, Ohio.
He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, work associates, and those who shared his hobbies of Amateur Radio (KA8IFC / KA1VHF) and competitive Archery. Throughout his life he was dedicated to nurturing these friendships and always willing to offer his insight and assistance.
His professional career included Vorys Brothers Inc., Central Ohio Fabricating Machinery (owner), and most recently Honda of America Manufacturing in Marysville, Ohio.
At an early age, Steve began striving for excellence. As a teenager Steve earned the rank of Eagle Scout, beginning a lifetime of dedication to excellence.
He qualified for the 1976 US Olympic Archery Team. Steve continued to receive recognition and awards for his many accomplishments and innovative insight throughout his professional career.
He continued to be recognized for his achievements in target archery and his mastery of Ham Radio (Extra Class License with superior Morse Code skills).
Steve and his family want to acknowledge the amazing care he received from his Oncologist Dr. Elaine Beed and her staff.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W Fifth Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43212. The family will welcome visitors from 3-7 p.m. prior to the service.
