Kirt W Anderson, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away in Hurricane, on November 5, 2017. He was born May 15, 1945 to Neil Donald and Norma Barney Anderson. He married Norma Jean Jensen on September 1, 2001 and they were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple.
Kirt graduated from South Sevier High School in 1963. He moved to Las Vegas right after high school and worked for Sprint (formerly known as Centel and Embarq) Telephone Company for 46 years. His proudest work story he tells everyone is how he put the entire phone system in at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. There were more lines in that hotel then the entire Sevier County at that time.
Everyone who knew Kirt knows how much he loved fishing and hunting. He always wanted to go for rides to see the wildlife. He was able to fill his deer tag last weekend with his grandson on Monroe Mountain. Kirt also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie; sister, Verdeana Rafie; brother, Phil Anderson; his 3 children from his previous marriage to Charlene Burke Anderson: Eileen Peeples, Troy Kirt Anderson, Gayleen (Craig) Humphries; former son-in-law, John Peeples. He was blessed with 5 additional children when he married Jeanie: Jamie (Carlos) Samaniego, Sherry (Alex) Brunt, Tyler (Camrin) Wheeler, Chris (Alicia) Wheeler, Amanda Aikau. He has 24 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
The family would like to thank the caregivers in Richfield at Stonehenge Rehabilitation and Sevier Valley Dialysis for taking great care of him over the past couple of years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00am at the Monroe 4th Ward Chapel, 49 East 200 North, where friends may call from 9:00 - 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
