Memphis, TN - Samuel Boyce Dixon III, "Rodney K Burns" 67 died on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. He was the son of the late Paul Dixon and the late Elzie Thomas Burns. He was the husband of Rita Lusk Burns. He served in the Army. He was a Veteran of Vietnam. Surviving are sons, Samuel Dixon, IV, Cedrick Dixon, Derick Dixon and Charles Ray Peterson, Jr., daughters, Karla Dixon, Renetta LeSure and Sherita Peterson-Cunningham, brothers, Jimmy Randolph, Wayne Dixon, Wynn Dixon and Ben Dixon, sisters, Ouida Thomas and Fredia Dixon; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 10 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 4245 Singleton Parkway, Memphis, Tennessee with funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m. at same church.
