Jacqueline “Jackie” Joan Masters, 81, passed away on a Thursday, at St. Francis Hospital.

Jackie was the daughter of Herman and Winifred (Wellman) Krutsch.

She was raised in Jackson and she was united in marriage to George W. Masters on Oct. 10, 1953. They resided in Jackson where they raised their four children. In 1971, they moved to Escanaba from Jackson.

Jackie was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wells. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were most important to her. She loved working in her flower garden, knitting and taking the annual family vacation to St. Joseph Island, Canada, as she had for over 60 years. Jackie was a loving wife, mother and an excellent homemaker and interior designer, she enjoyed helping family and friends decorate their homes.

Survivors include: children, William Masters, Sharon Masters, Brenda (Gary) Stevenson, Janice (Mike) Summers; grandchildren, Erin Stevenson, Courtney and Marshal Judson; step-grandchildren, Shannon, Joshua and Amy Stevenson and Cassie and Ashley Summers; great-grandchild, Saige Ramsden; sister, Elizabeth Reeve; sisters-in-law, Grace Miller, Gloria (Don) Patterson, Diana Kent, Nanette Masters and Betsy Krutsch; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, mother and father-in-law, Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband, George “Bubby” on Feb. 23, 1990; sister, Bessie Hunter; brothers, Herman Richard “Dick” and Emanuel Krutsch; sisters-in-law, Ruby “Nikki” Masters, Nancy Krutsch; brothers-in-law, Robert “Bob” Reeve, Harold Miller, Erwin “Sonny” Masters and William “Bill” Kent.

Visitation at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating her life with Rev. Al Schubert of Our Savior Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
