Shirleyann (Young) Hartoon passed away at her residence Jan. 18, 2007. She was born in Fountain Hill, Pa., daughter of Milton G. and Amy M. (Lazarus) Young. She was a 1954 graduate of Nazareth High School. She came to Virginia in 1959 when she married Robert Lee Hartoon. She was an active member of Third Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir. Survivors in addition to her husband include son, Robert L. Hartoon II of Norfolk; daughter, Robin Lee Gonnella and her husband Thomas of Newport News; son, Gregory Y. Hartoon and companion Barbara Perry of Virginia Beach; sister, Sandra Borger of Easton, Pa.; grandchildren, Khristina, Heather, Elizabeth and her future grandson Troy, due in February; and nieces, Deborah Schnabel and Cynthia Kalman of Pennsylvania. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Philip W. Oehler Sr. will officiate. A funeral will be held following the graveside service at noon in Third Presbyterian Church, 8065 Carlton St., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Shirleyann may be made in care of the Third Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.
