Mr. Eugene “Gene” Graham, age 82, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home in Loris, SC.

Born on August 17, 1935 in Loris, he was the son of the late Sumpter Marion Graham and the late Lola Dell Harrelson Graham.

Mr. Graham served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army. After the Army, Mr. Graham started as one of the original eight Horry County Police Officers and worked until his retirement as the Assistant Police Chief. He was also a farmer and a longtime member of the Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lucille Todd Graham of the home; two daughters, Sandy Ford and husband, Jay and Kim Brown and husband, Tim all of Loris, SC; four grandchildren, Adam Stroud and wife, Jenny, Jared Stroud and wife, Amanda, Rebekah Brown and Matthew Brown; five great-grandchildren, Makyla Wessel, Reese Stroud, Taylor Stroud, Olivia Stroud and Wyatt Stroud and one brother, Eldon Graham and wife Lillie Mae of Loris, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Graham was predeceased by six brothers, Walin J. Graham, Sr., Hermon Graham, Austin Graham, Braxton Graham, Dale Graham and Adolphus Graham and two sisters, Eunice Cox and Ruby Beaver.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with Pastor Mark George officiating. Committal services will follow at Pleasant Meadow Cemetery.
