CONNERSVILLE--James Warren Porter, 95, passed away Friday, Nov. 10,2017. He was born Aug. 13,1922 in Pontiac, MI a son of Nelson and Christine (Hughes) Porter.

On July 17,1956 he married June Robertson. They were able to enjoy almost 55 years of together before her passing on March 2011.

James served in the United States Navy for four years as a PHM2C during the World War II war. .

Retired in 1979 from Philco Ford after 33 years and also was a farmer. Member of the Warren Lodge #15 F&AM, the Scottish Rites and American Legion. Also was a member of Central Christian Church.

Survived by three sons: Chris, Dave and Steve Porter; a brother: John Creighton Porter and a sister Doris Kelly and they are all from Connersville.

He was preceded by his parents and his wife.

Visitation: 11 a.m. --1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16,2017 with funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Graveside military services will be provided. Burial to follow in Dale Cemetery.
