A son of the late Franklin Richard and Shelly Ann Collins Gregory, Wayne was a retired Correctional Officer for Southern Ohio Correctional Facility. He was a member of the Portsmouth Elks Club, the Portsmouth Moose and West Union Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Martin Gregory whom he married November 30, 1953 in Lucasville; five daughters, Paula (Phil) Meddock of Lucaville, Precilla (Norbert) Cassidy of Portsmouth, Trina (Michael) Adkins of Portsmouth, Marcia (Donald) Sumbler of Welland, Canada, and Christi (Tim) Clifford of Portsmouth; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Wayne was also preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Riggs; son-in-law Doug Riggs; one great-granddaughter, Allison Rose Carpenter two brothers, Roy Gregory and James Leslie Gregory; and three sisters, Bonnie Jackson, Vera Pratt, and Doshie Combs.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Scioto Burial Park with Danny Rowe officiating.
