Thomas was granted an earmark on December 12, 1739, “A swallow tail in ye right ear.” He bought land there on September 17, 1745 of Stephen RICHARDSON Sr, of Lebanon, New London County, Connecticut. On March 29, 1753, he signed for Susquehanna purchase in Pennsylvania. He bought land in Voluntown on June 18, 1756 of Gain Miller of that town. On Feb 13, 1772, he joined the Nazareth society of the Congregational church in the south part of Voluntown. He and his wife Ann sold 180 acres of land in Voluntown on March 1, 1779 for £300 to George LEWIS of Richmond, Washington County, Rhode Island.
