Timothy Morris Brooks passed away early Monday, December 22nd, peacefully, at home, surrounded by family. He was taken from us by cancer.

Tim was born on May 10th, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas, to Irene and Morris Brooks. In 1962, while serving in the United States Army, Tim married the love of his life - Linda. Tim and Linda lived in St. Johns, Michigan, while he worked at Motor Wheel in Lansing until the plant closed, then he and Linda moved back to Linda's original home town of Ozark, Michigan, where they lived until his passing.

Tim loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling, quad riding, and just about anything else that had to do with getting out in nature. Family was very important to him, and he spent his life constantly involved in family activities. Tim, Linda, and son Troy were also members of the Ozark Grace Brethren Church, where they made many lifelong friends.

Tim is survived by his wife Linda and son Troy; mother and stepfather Irene and John Jakovac; sisters Penny, Nadine, and Janice; and brother and sister-in-law Morris and Becky. Also his extended family on Linda's side - Dal and Carole Williams, Lester and Mary Lovegrove, Marvin and Linda Lovegrove, Bonnie and Larry Randall, Judy and John Vancalbergh, and Terry and Sherry Lovegrove, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. And of course, his Ozark Grace Brethren Church family.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Morris Brooks, brother-in-law Gerald Brush, nephew JJ Brush, sister-in-law Susan Lovegrove, and father and mother-in-law Herschel and Helen Lovegrove.

Husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend. Tim lived life well, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Dodson Funeral Home in Saint Ignace on Wednesday, December 24th, at 12:00 noon, preceded by visitation at 11:00am. Pastor Tom Stowe will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Grace Brethren Cemetery in Ozark. Arrangements are being handled by Dodson Funeral Home.
