HOOD, JANE GRIFFIN, of Bessemer, died July 21, 2007. Mrs. Hood was a lifelong resident of Bessemer. She was a long time active and loyal member of First Presbyterian Church of Bessemer. She was a past officer of Presbyterian Women and a Sunday School teacher. A former member of the Quest Literary Club, Alethian Study Club and Sprig and Twig Garden Club, Mrs. Hood was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Phi Mu Sorority. She was also selected to the American Association of University Women.
Mrs. Hood is survived by her niece, Jane G. Ballard (Tony).
Graveside services will be held at Valhalla Cemetery on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:30 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.
