Obituary for Sarah "Sue" Webb Chadwick
Sarah "Sue" Webb Chadwick (age 85), died at her home in Brandon, MS on November 10, 2017. Everyone who knew her, especially her immediate and extended family, will remember Sue as a very loving and caring person.

She was born in Neshoba County, MS and first attended School in Dekalb, MS.

All her siblings loved sports and were very competitive, so it was no surprise that Sue became an outstanding basketball player and was later recruited to play for Edinburg High School. Her passion and enjoyment for sports continued throughout her life, especially if a family member was involved. While living in Edinburg, she met and married her first husband, Herbert Webb.

Shortly after they were married, they moved to Brandon where

they raised two sons, H Michael "Mike" Webb, and Richard W "Rick" Webb.

They were married for 50 years when Herbert died on October 28, 1999.
Most of Sue's working career was as a banker. She began that career with Rankin County Bank which was later acquired by Trustmark Bank. She retired from banking as a Vice-President with Trustmark and most recently worked in the Waste Management office for Rankin County, MS.

She loved working and interacting with people and did so until the age of 80.
One of Sue's greatest pleasures was being with family members and she was rarely seen without one of her nine great grandchildren in her lap. Holidays and times of family fellowship together were also important to her, and many hours of cooking and planning were devoted to entertaining her friends and family members.

She and her second husband, Almon Chadwick, would often invite friends and family to share food and fellowship with them. She was a people person in every way and enjoyed sharing her delicious homemade dishes, (especially pound cakes), with her neighbors, friends, and family.

She also enjoyed traveling and was always ready for a road trip to new places. She liked pretty things and her story would not be complete without including pretty hair…hers was always fixed in her own favorite style.

Sue's love for God and her church was always the top priority in her life.

She was quick to witness her faith to friends and family. She would say, "I just want us all to be together again someday".

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Brandon and the Sojourner Adult Sunday School class.

Her devotion and faith in God leaves her family and everyone who had the pleasure of personally knowing her with no doubt that she will be smiling down on each of them until the day they are together again.

Survivors include:

her husband, Almon Chadwick,

two sons Mike (wife Debbie), and Rick (wife Denise);

five grandchildren, Amanda Webb, Lindsay Webb, Britton Webb, Lauren Webb Therrell (husband Clay), and Taylor Webb (wife Mary Caroline "Macc");

nine great grandchildren, Emme Kate, Lawson, Hadleigh, Suttyn, Salter, Stella, Miley, Wilson, and Sol;

one brother, Hugh L White (wife Claudette),

one sister, Ouida Williams (husband Floyd),

and a long-time helper and caregiver, Annie Ruth Sims.

She was preceded in death by

her first husband Herbert Webb,

an infant daughter Suzanne, and

a loving grandson Stewart Michael Webb;

her parents, Joe and Sadie White,

two special brothers, Joe R White and John N White,

along with many other extended family members.
